Biden’s Younger Sister, ‘The Joe Biden Whisperer,’ Is Latest Family Member With A Book Deal

Valerie Biden Owens, the younger sister and long-time confidante of President Joe Biden, is coming out with a book, publisher Celadon Books announced Thursday, making her the latest member of the family to foray into print.

As first reported by the Associated Press, the New York-based publisher, a division of Macmillan Publishing, confirmed in a press release it will be releasing Owens’ memoir, “Growing Up Biden.”

The book by Biden’s long-time strategic advisor and campaign manager, who the president wrote in his own memoir has been his “best friend my entire life,” will span her experience “growing up as the only daughter in the Biden family” to her “decades-long professional career with her brother,” according to the press release.

Owens, 75, has played a significant role in all Biden’s political campaigns, dating back to his run for the New Castle County council in Delaware in 1970, and was named a senior advisor on his 2020 presidential campaign.

She also does motivational speaking work and runs leadership and communications seminars.

Her book is set to be released in April 2022.
