I was thinking the same thing. Not that I’m an expert on the subject, but it seems a lot more likely than “COVID Killed the Flu”.

I think it’s because people stayed in, bars and eateries were closed, no parties, etc.

A real scientist would ask “Is there another possibility that is more likely the cause of this oddity in the statistical data?”
After asking that question the scientist would search for other statistical oddities that co-in sided with the statistical anomaly.
In this case if he looked the hospital’s financial ledgers he probably would have found drops in income from elective and outpatient surgeries, outpatient diagnostic procedures and a rise in payments from the Federal Government owing to diagnoses of COVID-19.
The most likely cause of the drop in flu cases is economics. The common flu was not replaced by COVID-19. The common flu became COVID19 out of economic necessity.
