I spent a year and a half in Russia (2017-2018) and had a hard time making the decision to come back to the USA. The slightly older-fashioned lifestyle and general personal liberty that the average person can have is very attractive, especially if you live outside of a giant city.
I'm actually in Russia right now, for a nice summer vacation (had to skip last year because of CCP virus).
Fair point...maybe there are some innocent people who go over there as I hear it’s a nice place, at least if you’re not planning on being a revolutionary.

I’m not doubting what you say at all, but to someone who grew up in the cold war that statement is mind boggling when you’re comparing it to the U.S. What a sad state of affairs we are in.
