She was certainly a talented singer back then. I don’t know much of anything about her today. She recorded at least one album of songs with Tony Bennett, before his voice succumbed to Alzheimers.
k.d. was most likely, surrounded by people telling her everything she said and did was ‘wonderful, marvelous’.She, like many performers at the crown of their careers probably became snippy and intolerant because she could get away with ugly behavior as long as the concert money kept flowing. Last time I saw k.d., I thought I was looking at Ted Cruz.
Saw her live in the UK at her peak. All she wanted to do was talk about being a les and flirt with the audience members. It was nauseating.
