The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified the public on May 17 that it is investigating reports of the heart conditions in recently vaccinated people.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices was to convene Friday to examine the evidence unearthed so far, seeking to prove that vaccination and these rare side effects are linked. But the meeting was rescheduled in observance of the Juneteenth holiday weekend. The ACIP panel will take the matter up at its next regular meeting scheduled for June 24 and June 25.They called it an emergency meeting, scheduled it for 10 days later and then postponed it for a two day old, made up holiday.
