We are seeing this in the Philippines,,
We live in a middle class area but many lost their jobs or small businesses...
And many simply can’t afford to buy their medicines. The mayor had a program to pay for medicine for the very indigent, but the newly poor are not eligible.
We just lost 3 elderly in our neighborhood from stroke or heart problems.
