Are Republicans serious about defending your right to bear arms?
American Thinker ^ | 8 May, 2021 | Clyde Ward

There's room to doubt...

Twenty states have passed "Constitutional Carry" laws in anticipation of another Democrat gun grab. While open carry and concealed carry without permit is a shot across the bow, let's not get misty. Gun control is one of two issues Republicans roll out every election, abortion being the other one, even though they lost that. They also lost on marriage. Why tempt fate?

Because Republicans think their constituents are knuckle-dragging white supremacists and religious fanatics. They won't say that. They just let Democrats say that unchallenged. But times are tough for Republicans. They are losing their Facebook accounts. Maybe if Republicans let us play Wyatt Earp, we'll vote for them again, and they can lever Mark Zuckerberg. Just to be sure, they can run Tim Scott in 2024 and play "gotcha" with racial slurs — a winning strategy if ever there was one.

Without due process, however, quick draw is headed for drum head Chauvin trials. And don't expect any mighty Republican to stand up against that victim you "brutally murdered." That's how Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) still refers to George Floyd.

Maybe if Tim Scott spoke about "resisting arrest" reform? The racial slurs Democrats would hurl! But no: not even Marjorie Greene, Matt Gaetz, Allen West, or Laura Loomer will touch it. The last people we want crafting police reform are the relatives of those whom the police "brutally murdered," Senator Scott. Reform school would be better than police reform. I'm talking about Republicans here, not Minneapolis, Chicago, or New York. Justice for Ashli Babbitt, Derek Chauvin, and the persecuted protesters of 6 January held in FBI dungeons would do better with that. We could even defund the FBI. Otherwise, if you really need a gun just to walk the dog, it's time to move.

How do we deal with backstabbing RINOs?

There may be a good point here but the article is so poorly written one never gets to it. It’s just a rambling, ranting, stream of consciousness

Trump’s appeal, at least for me, was that he provided hope outside of government, the bureaucracies and even outside of the Republican Party. ALL of the aforementioned mentioned institutions have failed miserably, and seem to be only capable of taking our money in exchange for false promises. Those of us who just want to work, live our lives and enjoy the fruits of our labor and our families have been betrayed and forgotten. Trump recognized that and seemed to be sincerely in our corner, and I believe he is sincere. At least he’s doing what is exactly what we need, regardless of his flaws. And that is enough.

Thank you President Trump. Because of you we now know:

1) republiCAN’TS support abortion ( we would love to overturn this, but we CAN’T).

2) republiCAN’TS support gun control ( we would love to do something about this, but we CAN’T).

3) republiCAN’TS support fubocare ( we would love to do something about this, but we CAN’T).

4) republiCAN;TS support big government ( we would love to cut the size of government, but we CAN’T).

Refusal to act upon something is at best approval of, and at worse support of.

Betrayal cannot be forgiven...

Agreed. Read some, stopped as there seemed no direction nor point.

We need focus on liberty: if no harm nor risk specifically adjudicated, “shall not be infringed” applies. Simple “keep and bear” is not risk. I want my M4.

It is hard to deal with RINOs and anti-gun Republicans with people make excuses for them and suggest they are better than the alternative. Look at Cornyn, for example, talks of 2nd amendment to get money and votes, then repeatedly does nothing. One of the last times he sidelined his ‘national reciprocity’ bill saying the timing wasn’t right. Yes, he was due for reelection at that time. Now recently, he’s spoken up again—because of campaign and money, not real belief or support of 2nd amendment.

Are Republicans serious about defending your right to bear arms? No. The only thing Republicans are interested in defending are Democrats and protecting them from President Trump, and those with the guts to stand to stand up against the Democrats such as Marjorie Green, Matt Gaetz, and the afore mentioned President Trump. All of these have Republican knives in their backs. Conservatives are all the Republicans fifgt and defend the borders and ramparts of Washington , D. C. against, In doing this they have no peer.

NO, they are not.

They will PRETEND as long as the democrats are ranting about removing our right.
Republicans will “shoosh” us and quiet us down from our indignation....

And then they’ll all sign the democrat bill that takes away our 2nd Amendment rights..

Seen it all before...

See the criticism of Greene and Gaetz on FR because they couldn’t pass Judge Smails tests to join his country club.

A vote for more gun restrictions is a vote for bloodshed and civil war.
If we see these red flag laws we know the intent is for them to be used against those that oppose tyrannical government.

abolish all unconstitutional regulations and bureaus including aft and similar outfits

as for 2A, restore shooting sports (and shop classes!) to high schools. also firearms safety training.
then, I’d seriously consider one more giveaway program...hopefully to replace a bunch of the ones that already exist.. but anyway,
offer everyone a free firearms voucher for a good quality pistol or rifle or shotgun...to defend themselves (sheriffs and police all across America have advised us to be armed in our own self-defense since their officers cannot even arrive in time to help us. over 95 percent of the time they arrive only for report-taking purposes, assumning anyone is still alive to provide the information).

we will never eliminate all crime and .. . due to our sellout traitor political hacks... we will never eliminate the Muslim terrorist cells in our once-great nation, either. But, most run of the mill criminals will shy away from assaults and burgularies etc when they come to realize that their intended-victims are at least prepared to defend themselves, their families, their neighbors, their homes, their businesses, their cars, and their other property.

the new Biden proposed rules are out.
apparently, they would ban sale of 80 pcts
(tho still recognizing the legality of owning and building them)
so, if that is correct (trying to read thru it all now) and if they actually shove it through .. this is why people are buying every possible 80 pct and kit build project they can get their hands on.

we just received an unsolicited advertisement for these products... and when you click on the inventory the vendor is all sold out anyway. why send ads when they’re all sold out and have nothing left to sell? ha! truly we live in a crisis kind of world, due to these commie and nazi type politician traitors

Normally we whine and complain a lot, then re-elect them.
