The child's law guardian, Ithaca-based attorney Jason Leifer, when asked about the ruling, said he believed the mother had moved into the residence only recently and was not sure if she was necessarily responsible for the rock. But he supported the court's reasoning.
"I think it's appropriate," he said.

Agreed, but like it or not, Family courts have wide discretion when it comes to appropriate environments for children subject to the court. Free speech doesnt necessarily mean the court agrees with a custody arrangement and what is ‘best for the child’. This is most likely a custody battle, and those tend to be ugly.

They ruin it and then move out so somewhere conservative because they like it and then ruin that as well.
