Yes, the 19 comes from the disease first presenting itself in 2019, but CoViD-19 (COronaVIrusDisease) is the name of the disease, not the virus. The virus is SARS-CoV-2.

Over 40 different coronaviri have been identified, but only seven are known to infect humans.
