Was just talking about Moonstruck this morning. The part where the mother in Italy is ‘dying’ and the sad music is playing, everyone around her bed crying, so funny. She ain’t dyin’!

But I remember reading Dukakis saying that movie changed her life. She suddenly was famous and very rich.

Left or right the movie was very good. Lot of heart in it. I prefer to remember it that way.

Snap out of it.

Moonstruck was released in December 1987, when Michael Dukakis was the frontrunner in the Presidential race against George H. W. Bush, in the closing year of the President Reagan's second term.

Yes. All the performances were great. Turned out, that was the highpoint in both Cher's and Dukakis' careers.
