I've seen a Japanese painting of a Japanese nobleman conversing with a Jesuit missionary. The Jesuit is shown with a very large nose. I don't suppose the Jesuit was Jewish (although perhaps he had Jewish ancestors who had converted)--the Japanese seemed to have perceived all Westerners as having big noses.
Asians tend to have small noses. So westerners have big noses and round eyes and pale skin. Chinese call all foreigners besides the Japanese “ghosts”.
