Chief Deputy Ryan Spurling said the skydiver performed a stunt too close to the ground, causing his body to slam "into the earth with great force."

That will get you every time. Darn gravity!

If you’re the sole breadwinner you shouldn’t be taking unnecessary chances. There are a lot of dangerous jobs but skydiving is recreational.

It’s not the fall that kills you. it’s the sudden stop at the end.

Same thing happened at the airport where I fly a jump plane; guy was hot-dogging it coming down and at about a hundred feet while spinning went horizontal with his ‘chute and wound up dumping the air from his sport ‘chute and came crashing down. Wonder if this guy did the same thing.

Okay, this lover of extreme sports has enough money to have sky-dived 80 times, but couldn’t afford a life insurance policy as the sole breadwinner of his family?

“The page said he was the ‘sole breadwinner’ of his family...”

Sometimes extreme sports IS a person’s career, and it would be tough to give it up if you were good at it.

But I can think of other famous extreme sportsters who died and left families, small children behind. It always bugged me, like “Hey, you have small children now...you don’t get to do this crazy stuff anymore!”

The words ‘stunt’ and ‘parachute’ tend to combine to form the phrase ‘serious injury or death’.

When skydiving becomes ‘boring’ and you have to start doing ‘stunts’ to get the buzz going... it’s time to find something else to do. Seriously.

Who dies in parachuting incidents? Experienced jumpers - who get bored with their experience and start getting sloppy or stupid.

Riyal's family in Sri Lanka started a GoFundMe to support his family.

They sure learned how to make more money off their son’s death.

And I’m guessing that they are already not the poor and impoverished in Sri Lanka.

I believe the scientific term for that is “he went SPLAT”.

Maybe it’s just me, but the words “stunt” and “parachute” don’t belong in the same sentence.

Hmmmmm, the obit I saw mentioned he was a great brother and son, but not father. So since he did not have children to support, he was the sole support of the family in Sri Lanka?

Hook turn to close to the ground. One of the leading causes of skydiving accidents

Shelton, in Mason County, used to have quite a few sky diving flights. Frequently saw parachutes floating around out over the fairgrounds. Tough ending for the man. RIP.
