I hate the media's altering headlines. Trump actually said “Bitcoin, it just seems like a scam. I don't like it. I want the dollar to be the currency of the world.” "It just SEEMS LIKE a scam" does not declaratively state, as if Trump could be completely sure, that Bitcoin IS a scam." He does not know and wants some wiggle room in case Bitcoin turns out ok.

In this example, the ellipsis after the word "scam" acknowledges that they left our some words. Well, they did in that spot, but also earlier. I repeat "It just seems like a scam" is not the same as "It's a scam." I see now that the writer could not just insert an ellipsis because President (no "former" needed) Trump did not even use the word IS.
