I’d say communism has more staying power. After the fall of the USSR, I really thought the ideas of communism were forever debunked and dead.
I was wrong. It’s making a huge comeback here in the US, where Bernie and Pocahontas and their ilk and tens of millions of adherents are proudly embracing the communist ideology.

Knowledgable Catholics know that the subject of communism was seriously discussed at Fatima, Portugal, by the Blessed Mother in 1917 but that the reigning Pope was unwilling to comply.
