How does the CDC have legal authority to shut down an industry, but hundreds of thousands our of work, and cost that industry hundreds of millions of dollars?

Amen. If they can become dictators due to any declaration of emergency, there will always be a declaration of emergency.

The ports are not run by the feds. They should open up operations and see how the feds respond.

The thing that could hurt them is if the feds refuse to process customs on the way back. Then again, if illegals can cross without customs, why can’t we??

CDC is using an obscure ancient law which allows them to take measures to stop spreading communicable diseases. But as the governor said, things are radically different now compared to March 2020. The vaccines are extremely popular and proven effective in creating anti-bodies to covid-19 including any varients, and people are lining up for them, and the treatment in hospitals is so much more effective now than last summer.

CDC is an institution full of big government bureaucrats who like nothing more than overuse their power. They seem to forget they work for us, not the other way around.

And with sleepy Joe at the helm, who has fed at the government trough for all his working life, he is doing the bidding of DNC to take out governor DeSantis who is very popular in Florida and likely to be a leading candidate running in 2024 against incumbent democrat president Kommiela.
