Most viral respiratory illnesses, for most people will resolve within 7-10 days without treatment. With treatment, most viral respiratory viruses, for most people will resolve in 7-10 days. That being the case, I would want to see what Ivermectin does for the patient who is clearly not winning their battle against Covid, the person that gets transported to the ER by ambulance with unstable vital signs secondary to Covid viral pneumonia. I have no doubt it would be a miracle drug for the 25 year old with no health history. It will save bearly every one of them I predict.

India has used it prophylactically on millions of people, in vulnerable regions and the covid toll has plummeted. It is a proven therapeutic antiviral medicine which works btw against all the so-called “variants” being identified, as well as an anti parasitic agent..

Some folks in my church became quite sick with Kung Flu recently. Damn doctors still don’t prescribe Hcq or Ivermectin. Evil!!!

The data from India as stated above me clearly shows a benefit to the use of Ivermectin.

It is difficult to decipher all things Covid because every article is written as or viewed as a “pro or con” piece and most of the journalists know less than you or I do about it.

Anecdotally, I still think there was a clearly demonstrated benefit to HCQ based on its extensive use by doctors and some nations when administered early. The majority of “studies” here in the US that focused on it were based on data from patients already hospitalized who were severely ill.

The doctors that I have spoken with who were in the ICU’s largely felt for many months that your prognosis was very bad at that point no matter what they did.

So, you’re saying the response to getting Covid-19 in most cases is to do nothing and let the disease just run its course?

Plummeted?
On the 1st of March the death toll in India was 102.
On the 7th of April the death toll in INdia was 685.
Up over six times.

You have to use ivermectin and hydrochloroquine protocols early, before patients get to that stage.

That's the problem.

They're not treating them until they've passed the point of no return.

Did Governor Cuomo purposefully sabotage the use of hydrochloroquin in treating coronavirus when he did this with the big batch sent to New York early in the pandemic, almost a year ago? IIRC he did not allow use with zinc either.

Get the ivermectin from the feed store, 2.5 notches worth is enough for a 125 lb person; there are gradations on the tube for weight.

Peru also opened up use of Ivermectin widely for use against COVID.

They say it helped, but it did not seem to be a silver bullet, at the National Public Health level.

For most people, that's exactly what happens. I have seen many Covid+ people come through the ER. If you are sick enough to qualify for admission, you get admitted and that decision was, at that time, made before your covid results were even back. If you weren't that sick, you were discharged home. I had to call these people up and give them their test results for a while. It took 2-3 days to get the results back then. The young ones were pretty well over it by the time their test results came back. The older one typically stated they were improving but they weren't over it. 2 or 3 people I advised to return to the ER because it sounded like they were not winning the battle. I saw that they did come in and they were admitted for 2-3 days and discharged home. During wave 2, we started sending people home with a home pulse oximeter so they could monitor their oxygen saturation at home.

Some people came in and they were seriously ill though. These are the people with an SPO2 of 50-60% and an elevated heart rate and respiratory rate, abnormal blood gasses, obvious changes in the lungs seen with a CT scan, altered mental status, evidence of coagulation problems, etc. I don't think there's any miracle cure that's going to turn that kind of person around. It's just going to be a long drawn out battle in the ICU, on a ventilator and likely in a rotoprone bed. We saved a lot of these people but they were definitely at deaths door knocking loudly.

These people typically came in from one of the local nursing homes. My area has a large number of these kinds of facilities and they pretty much all got hit hard. We had a list during wave 1 that told us what the positivity numbers were at every one of these facilities. Some of them were pretty much 100% Covid + and these weren’t small facilities. Once we figured out that the nursing homes were driving up the mortality and morbidity, they implemented their strict lockdown protocols and that, IMO, probably saved more lives than anything else. our mortality rate plummeted after that. Initially, we had been leading the state in Covid deaths in my country and then that stopped.

So, how do you explain the graph in Zimbabwe shown in the above article that tracks similarly to other countries and provinces in India regarding the Covid death rates and mass administration of Ivermectin?
