I hit a deer on I-70 in Kansas in 1974........................in a PINTO!...............
A guy I worked with lived out beyond suburbia, amongst the tall corn.
His oneway commute was about 50 miles, hit two or three every year.
He had a marked preference for larger, old American cars.
There were a few times of the year when he would go out of his way and take the Illinois Toll Road to avoid them.
That said, his driving time is about the same as crossing traffic-infested suburbs and housing is about half the price.
And a better class of neighbors too.

Did it EXPLODE?! I had a 1979 Ford Pinto, 2 door, Green exterior, baby poop orange/brown interior. I LOVED that car but Pinto owners did worry about EXPLOSIONS! Aw.... the good times of our youth. LOL!
where did the deer learn to drive?
