I agree... creativity can’t flourish under censorship... and comedy seems to be among the first casualties of the pc culture.
This is exactly why President Trump could captivate crowds of tens of thousands at his rallies (and tens of millions watching from home) for up to two hours. With no celebrity musician, no props, no anything.. He was entertaining because he didn’t care about PC and let his creativity run wild.
Trump haters just don’t get it because they never listened long enough to give him a chance - they just watched selected clips - the edited version - the version twisted out of context... they only heard just enough of the “political incorrectness” to be outraged by it, but never continued listening long enough to see the truth that he was able to speak by speaking freely.
It’s racist to bring up the terms white or black when referring to people of different races.
Nobody is supposed to notice the difference, so, the correct term with today’s standards, is just ‘people’ or ‘person’. You are automatically racist if you mention ‘black’ or ‘white’. You have to pretend you are blind.
Check out his SNL skit on dolls for Christmas. I am surprised he hasn’t apologized like Jay Leo on Asian jokes.
Actually, you are behind the times. Being colorblind is now considered racist.
fixed it
I can’t believe I just saw Michael Jackson’s tush! Eeowwww!
“Tell Bill I said to have a Coke and a smile and STFU!”
Otherwise known as, the last time SNL was actually funny...
Velvet Jones School of Technology never gets old.
I recall reading that Murphy had looked up to Cosby and was privately crushed when Cosby’s scandal erupted, exposing him as a fraud and worse.
I saw his appearance on the current SNL a year or so ago...his sketches were funny (if a bit dated), but it appeared painfully obvious that he would never have been accepted as part of today’s ensemble.
Privately crushed ? I’d dare say millions of people were publicly crushed that America’s dad turned out to be a decades-long habitual rapist and sex predator.
I agree.
It seems to me that the best comedy is that which exposes and makes fun of foolishness.
Unfortunately, making fun of foolishness offends Leftists (I wonder why?) and is therefore considered “politically incorrect”.
That puts comedians out of a job.
Yes, it’s sad. That’s true of Hollywood in general. To me, the biggest problem is when the race hustlers go on about it. because they are correct, but offer no solutions but communism/fascism.
