Major League Baseball is scheduled to play its 2021 All-Star Game this summer at Truist Park, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Yet with less than a week to go until Opening Day, the MLB Players Association appears open to discussing whether or not the event should be relocated in response to recent legislative developments in the state.
MLB Players Association director Tony Clark told the Boston Globe that the union body is "very much aware" of the bill signed by Georgia governor Brian Kemp on Thursday that overhauled the state's election laws.
The bill includes "new restrictions on voting by mail and gives the legislature greater control over how elections are run," according to CBS News. It has been opposed by both Democrats and voting rights groups who believe the law will "disproportionately disenfranchise voters of color."
Clark told the Globe that "we have not had a conversation with the league on that issue" before adding that "if there is an opportunity to, we would look forward to having that conversation."

The networks that will lose lots of advertising $$. You know, the China-backed “news” operations.
Is demonkkkrap-MLB-BLM-Antifa-Critical Race Theory league still around?
After more than 5 decades, I took great pleasure in cancelling them last year. Freed up time. Now if I can stop reading their whining politically correct headlines, except maybe those where they start tearing down baseball statues and kicking people out of Cooperstown for being racist, or banning bats and white color baseballs as instruments of oppression, etc.
After all, why would an all-American sport want to stand up for America?
Yes, and who would have ever imagined the avant garde, the left, the artists, the cultural leaders to demand uniformity and adherence to a strict set of values, rules, limits on speech and expression? Where is the Left Bank?
So what. Who cares? Just cancel game.
Let me get this straight: The MLBPU is all upset because the new voting law requires a photo ID and is therefore racist. However, to travel to the MLB All-star Game by air -- regardless of where the game is played -- requires a photo ID, and therefore, the game s still racist.
I would be hard pressed to name an NBA player other than James. Baseball? I would struggle to name 10 players.
I used to work for the Atlanta Police Dept. Years ago, you couldn’t get those folks to be anywhere near that area, or most of Cobb, other than maybe the stretch along 20, maybe.
But times sure have changed. For all the money in Vinings, the last time I was through there(and it’s been a while), the demographics sure did change.
What’s funny is, the leftists running the networks and pressuring the MLB are also the ones that have been involved in the emasculation of American boys for years. Meaning, they’re losing viewership.
Millennials don’t watch sports they watch Instagram.
Not me. I cut the cord 20 years ago and couldn't be happier.
