When this thing broke out, I called my former pulmonologist, who is retired and a friend, and asked him just WTH this thing was.
He explained it all to me and told me that even if I start coming down with a cold to double up my meds doses.
Jan 6th, of all days, I came down with it and did exactly what he said. The illness was no different than a real bad chest cold, some loss of smell, etc.
But the residuals..WOW. Hack and cough and cough and hack and then came the pneumonia. Got rid of that with a z pac and it has screwed my lungs up more than they already were.
The key is to get after it ASAP and hit it hard.
What meds did you double up on?
