Minority interest in a company is virtually worthless unless you have contractual rights that give it value.

A minority shareholder action can cost plenty in time distraction and legal fees.

I had a client who owned 30% of a $20 million company. Researched this topic to the nth degree. Even contacted the attorney who wrote the textbook on the subject. We ended up selling it for a couple of million, but nowhere near value..

There are exceptions, but with this guy running the company he cannot claim damages from mismanagement!
