Teachers are pretty brave when it comes to using the power of the State against parents. Not so much when jihadis wave their knives. They are happy to feed their neighbors to the crocodile

Being a military brat, I went to several schools. Te only time my dad would go to my school was to sign me up on my day at the new school.

He always told the principal that they had his permission to give me swats if I was bad, but then he would lean in and tell them that they better be damn sure I was the one that has caused the trouble because if they gave me swats and it turned out they were wrong, he was going to come to school and whip them.

I got my share of swats but the only time I was accused of something that I didn’t do, the principle called my dad and told him the situation. Turns out that the Bus driver thought I had slashed the seats with my pocket knife but then after be questioned by my dad and the principle, realized she was mistaken.

Funny to think about that now but those were the days in the 60’s and 70’s when we could carry our knives and guns to school.
