Thanks for posting that. The headline might lose a little pizzazz but would likely be more accurate had it read, “Walrus scientifically documented in Ireland for the first time in recorded history.”
Not only may it have been called other things, it may have been seen by people who didn’t write, way back when. See, we would know so much more about Stonehenge, for example, if its builders had just left written records!
They likely couldn’t fabricate materials that would last.
