What really killed the Huffington Post was becoming a woke tabloid. Even shortening the name was a horrible marketing decision. At one point in time, the HP rivaled that of the New York Times. They were kind of a Times and The New Yorker put together.
Also, the Huff Post had a great lifestyle and food section that I'll admit I took a peek at every now and then.
The average worker may not realize it, but this is now the norm for these “news” agencies. Fill the ranks when there is a campaign every two years (mid-terms as well as presidential), then let them go when the season is over. It really is sporadic, seasonal work once news became hyper-politicized.
