Trying to listen to the Rush program is too much heartache for me.

I can’t do it.

I am realizing how much an impact Rush had on me. Part of me feels selfish, the other part is all heartache.

I never met Rush nor ever called into his show, but his death has left a void in my life. I was a Democrat in 1992, and listening to him completely changed the way I looked at the world. Then all of you Freepers solidified my support for conservative principles. Conservative talk radio will always have a big listening audience with or without Rush. No one host will ever match his numbers or have a long term bond with his listeners the way he did. Rush can never be replaced, but it’s time to move on with a new host in his time slot.

Same here. Heartache. Many of the replay clips are fond memories.

And then there was an impromptu Rush puretalk cell phone commercial, and that was too crass, even for a obscene profit moment.
