No, my friend was an active senior. She stayed home from March till this year when she fell and went to the hospital. She contracted covid, was in ICU in a coma on a vent. EEG showed brain damage days before she died. This is real. We buried he her last week.
Do you suppose the fall and/or the vent might have had something to do with it?

I also have a friend—actually my daughter’s friend’s mom who got it and was in ICU for 8 weeks and then a rehab center for 3 or 4 weeks. She was on oxygen but I don’t think a vent. She is home now. She was active and 63.
You are right—it is not a hoax (tho lefties are using it for leverage). And being hospitalized now is very scary...I am taking the Zelenko/IMASK protocol—tho have not yet taken the Ivermectin. I too have been staying home for the most part...Trying to social distance and build immune system.
Stay safe, warm and healthy!
Freegards!
Finally!!
I had it in Jan. 2020. In the hospital for 12 days including a quad bypass to assist damaged organs (and a partially blocked artery). After the operation I had stroke-like problems while in the hospital. Mostly vision and walking. Flashes of light, color blotches, etc.
When I got out I thought I’d had TBI from the operation and day in ICU. I had to learn to walk again. For months I swung my legs and slapped my feet just like a recovering TBI from an IED. Cardiologist thinks it could also be ‘pump head’ but I don’t think it’s all of that. And my home health care workers who support post-OP bypass patients did not think it was ICU or pump related.
I still lose my balance a lot and wobble/stumble when I walk but it’s getting better. Long, slow climb back. I ain’t complaining tho.
Your comment makes no sense.
Falling seems the relevant etiological component.
First of all, I’m so very sorry for the loss of your friend. I asked the question because I haven’t seen a story on this new report anywhere except local media from yesterday. I have seen nothing from the national media. There are FReepers who do little else but report on this pandemic and I have seen nothing from them on this study.
So, I had to ask the question due to my own personal skepticism.
I knew two guys who died of strokes that were pretty clearly caused by COVID. First was mid-70’s, diabetic and a little overweight but not obese. Second was 80, in otherwise perfect health. Didn’t even have hypertension.
Both made it through the viral phase just fine, but became thrombolitic after about 10 days. Strokes were both sudden, though neither had been hospitalized. One has to wonder if they had been properly dosed with LMW Heparin or another anti-thrombolitic if they would have been OK.
What treatment/s did she receive, once she contracted China virus?
