USA Today tries and fails to debunk the fact that thin, fit and healthy people are safe from COVID. They say, “From all of the evidence so far, it does seem that being healthier will reduce your risks of severe outcomes, perhaps considerably.” So there you have it, essentially the disease becomes “just the common cold, bro” if you are healthy. If someone knows that they are extremely heathy, why should they listen to any fear mongering by the CDC and other people prone to inciting panic?
Why would they write this article? Why not try and instill panic in obese people over the age of 90? The answer is simple - if all segments of the population panic then they get more clicks/newspaper purchases. Soon there will need to be articles about why young and healthy people who have been vaccinated twice still need to wear two masks. There is nothing more useless to a fear mongering newspaper than someone without fear.

Actually the report of absence of anything can never prove either the hypothesis nor the null. This is the problem with freepers. We emotionally throw around absurd statements lie if the media reports something it proves the opposite. This is why we are labeled conspiracy nuts as much as the DU
We need to do better with understanding debate and principles of proof and theory. We need to provide unemotional evidence to allow others to be lead to the truth.

Cases are plunging because they changed the criteria for a positive case once Biden was inaugurated. If they had done this long ago, the case numbers would never have been as drastic as they were. They were including the false positives for a purpose, which was to keep the fear going so that mail in ballots were the way to go. That’s the way the could rig the election.
