Well Ok then - I never understood why dexamethasone was being touted as a specific anti-inflammatory agent in Covid. Looks like locally applied steroid works as well but with less systemic steroid side effects. Simple, cheap generic budesonide inhalers look to be an effective palliative treatment.

That’s what the Oxford RECOVERY trial chose to test. Probably nothing nefarious, it was a good bet, and it panned out. Turns out some other things might be better though.
