If it's a career ending proposition why do they remain in office thereafter? .....I recognize it's ‘the most’ the body can do...but I don't think it will bring any real results including monetarily for re-election or otherwise, unless there's another candidate in the wind to run against them that's better...and few today who are willing.

It's just a very disappointing time in the entire party. I'm still on the fence and willing to give it some time to see if they'll snap together as ‘one formidable force’ IF they're even capable of being so....I have huge reservations that's possible.

Good point (s). I doubt the RNC can do squat.

We have 6 years to find a better candidate. I voted against Sasse during the primary; but had to hold my nose and vote for him in the general election, as Republican control of the Senate was on the line. But of course, Georgia screwed the pooch.

This is going to be a hard fight to unseat Sasse in 2026 - and, for once, I see Nebraskans (at least in my Congressional District) finally getting off their backsides to help carry the political load. In my 15 years living here, I have discovered just how apathetic people can be about things upon which their liberties depend. I think the blinders, and the gloves, are finally coming off.
