The idea of troops in U.S. streets for an extended period of time -- an extreme measure even when temporary -- has now become close to a sacred consensus.
Washington, DC has been continuously militarized beginning the week leading up to Joe Biden’s inauguration, when 20,000 National Guard troops were deployed onto the streets of the nation’s capital. The original justification was that this show of massive force was necessary to secure the inauguration in light of the January 6 riot at the Capitol.

All of these crisis events, antifa/blm campfires, miracle elections and the Capitol attempted genocide seem so scripted and corny and obvious. There are some really stupid people in government!

I would disagree with his assessment. Probably through October, there will be some type of Guard deployment going on (maybe in the range of 3k).
While in this period, the Capital Police will probably get a funding shift, and add around 3k to 4k additional personnel (currently at 2k members). There’s going to be some kind of Guard-toy list (Armored vehicles, etc).
By the end of 2021, DC will look more like the ‘Green Zone’ of Baghdad than what DC was in the 1980s.
I like the government to be afraid of we the people. Makes them more cautious.

Where you ever in DC in the late 1980s? Away from the Potomac, the Federal area, and Mass. Ave. headed up to Chevy Chase, a lot of it looked like the rest Bagdad, or some other war zone, and was about as safe.
The Guard units themselves will work hard internally on retention and the more capable units will remove themselves from the rotation. Expect to see a lot of blue states' Guard units repeating rotations so their states can collect taxpayer dollars.

I think all of the “riots” have been orchestrated by the left for their benefit, including the Capitol incursion. The National Guard is just a show to indoctrinate the masses that the “right” is dangerous and that their upcoming steps to shut down conservatives is justified.
