What truly confuses me if that Trump must have had awareness of the Q phenomenon and the hopes and dreams that people placed on it. It would have been easy for him to make a speech on any topic at all and just casually add in: “By the way, I do want to let people know that I am not behind the Q thing. There’s nothing there. Focus on real things, not a hoax like Q.” But President Trump never said that. And the storm never hit. And at this point, I think the moment is well past. If there was ever anything there, there is nothing now.

From what I’ve seen of some Q people, they would have analyzed any statement he made until they convinced themselves he was playing 4d chess reverse psyops and he really was Q.

Why would someone comment much on anything stupid that stupid people do?
American Thinker dove into the QAnon grift for clicks too btw.
President Trump said the Qult had “nothing to do with me” but “I hear they like me.”
Smart people don’t throw away votes, even votes of a stupid Qult.

I never followed Q or the threads that were on FR, and never felt that President Trump had to weigh in on it. People should be able to make up their own minds what to believe, and not believe. It wasn't Trump's responsibility to do that for them. Besides, no matter what President Trump said or didn't say about Q, the media would have lied about what he said anyway, and twisted it any which way they could. They've done it with everything he said over the past 4+ years.
Here's the one time he addressed Q Anon. Fox News wasn't as obnoxious as other media outlets:
Trump addresses QAnon conspiracy theory for the first time: 'I heard that these are people that love our country'
