The insurance company already tried to put a tracking device on my son’s car when he applied for new insurance. They told him it would make it “cheaper”. They said it would track everything, stops, starts, miles, places visited, everything. At first he accepted it, then after thinking on it he told them NO.
Of course they brought this upon themselves - by first bringing it on us. They have mandated strict CAFE mileage standards for vehicles thus resulting in less fuel usage and less tax per gallon being collected. They then compounded their oversight by pressing for electric vehicles. Now they cannot find the revenues for repairing roads and bridges.
Now they scratch their heads wondering what went wrong.
