I was there, we knew it as “K2”. In places, the ground stank of MiG jet fuel dumped over many years.
But all in all, not a bad place, compared to Iraq & Afghanistan. Uzbeks had not learned to hate Americans, there were some beautiful women there, and they all liked their vodka.
Anyway, thank you Mr. President. You will be missed.
