Comms? I used reverse image search of an image of Rudy Guiliani at Alamo car rental agency and determined that it was a photoshop. The left entertaining itself by mocking President Trump's trip to the Alamo.

Really, when the left screams the loudest, I think the President succeeds in trolling or comms.

Indeed. The Alamo is an interesting choice.  I think these two have it right:

Folks thought Texas lost at the Alamo too. We got thru it

Could be the reason that the town named Alamo was chosen.

I wasn't able to find a fair account of the Almo (rewritten history) at this late hour with a quick skim of search results. Perhaps the comms are that it will look bad but we WILL get through it, because we will never give up.

I also wonder if the location/border with Mexico is emphasized here - the strategic aspect of the border/border wall.

A geographically challenged Phd! McAllen has a perfectly good international airport five minutes up the road.

Regarding the Alamo.

Some history

"News of the Alamo's fall had the opposite effect, and men flocked to join Houston's army. The New York Post editorialized that "had [Santa Anna] treated the vanquished with moderation and generosity, it would have been difficult if not impossible to awaken that general sympathy for the people of Texas which now impels so many adventurous and ardent spirits to throng to the aid of their brethren"

Santa Anna was a cruel basturd.

My take on the Alamo discussion is that while the battle was lost it held up the Mexican Army long enough to allow the remaining Texans to consolidate and organize appropriately. It was a HUGE strategic win both motivationally and logistically for Texas.
