That is not happening. The politicians have amply demonstrated that they do not give a damn what we think. There is only one way out of this. We either do it or we don't. We either restore Constitutional Government or we descend into slavery. It entails the citizens becoming property of the Government, not other individuals, But none-the-less slavery. One has no Rights, only privileges. If that is what the people desire, The politicians will make sure you get it.
