I hate centipedes. Here in Hawaii we have the six inch red ones, as well as various smaller ones, all venomous. Earlier this year during the lockdown when I was working at home I felt something on my foot and looked down and there was a 2 inch centipede crawling around. I was able to shake it off and kill it before being bitten.
The worst is when they escape and hide, a lot of times you can’t find them, and then you can’t sleep for the next week because you’re worried about them coming out in the darkness and biting the crap out of you.
I’m more scared of centipdedes than I am of rattlenakes, which I’ve been around a bunch. There at least they make a noise to warn you and they generally try to stay out of your way. Not centipedes. They like to crawl in your bed, crawl in your shoes, etc.
