LANSING, MI - When Rudy Giuliani and his witnesses challenged election results last week in front of the House Oversight Committee, nobody testified under oath.
The same was true the day before with election challengers in the Senate Oversight Committee. That pattern changed Tuesday during three hours of sworn testimony from Chris Thomas, a former state elections director who served as an elections advisor to Detroit this fall.

Despite the challenge, the level of mistakes were minor and should not be confused with widespread fraud, Thomas said. The number of ballots in question is negligible, Thomas said, considering the 172,000 absentee ballots Detroit workers at the TCF Center had to process on election night.
“Election officials across the state have labored under enormous mail ballot volume and performed extremely well,” he said. “Those who wish to turn this election into some type of disaster have missed the big picture.”
Thomas, who helmed the Michigan Bureau of Elections for 36 years under both Republican and Democratic governors, spoke with MLive last week to fact check several elements of Giuliani’s testimony:
On Tuesday, Thomas repeated many of his refutations of testimony from Giuliani and several of the witnesses he brought forward. He also took some time to defend the cybersecurity of Detroit election computers, which ran on a local server without an internet connection. Former state Sen. Patrick Colbeck speculated that ballot information was transmitted via internet, which could have led to remote ballot tampering.
“There was nothing transmitted (via internet) at TCF,” he said. “Folks can talk until they’re blue in the face, but there was nothing transmitted from TCF.”

“Mistakes” that only benefit one party are not mistakes.
They are up to Rule 9 of Truth Suppression.
Come half-clean. This is also known as “confession and avoidance” or “taking the limited hangout route.” This way, you create the impression of candor and honesty while you admit only to relatively harmless, less-than-criminal “mistakes.” This stratagem often requires the embrace of a fall-back position quite different from the one originally taken. With effective damage control, the fall-back position need only be peddled by stooge skeptics to carefully limited markets.
Mlive is another place where Truth goes to die.
When you did the Primaries with VBM ballots, officials KNEW that the General elections were going to include VBM VOTE BY MAIL ballots. Shutting down over 300,000,000 Americans from their jobs, schools, churches, shopping, medical assistance was extremely OBVIOUS.
Trying to act surprised about the VOLUME of VBM ballot now is not even a flimsy excuse.
It also certainly DOES NOT account for the algorithms changing the actual count of ballots/votes.
The corruption is wide & DEEP.
Glad Trump has EO 13848 to use against this attempt to destroy America.
I personally will applaud when all these fools go to FEDERAL prison. IT will also apply SOROS, IMO, because he funded alot of this corruption.
“performed extremely well” does not include barring legal observers from performing their responsibilities. It does not include cheering the removal of legal observers. It does not include a lot of the misbehavior that is evidenced.
Does the word “negligible” mean 10,000 100,000 or more votes? What is the numeric definition of “negligible”? Can this person provide evidence to confirm that negligible number? Prove this.
Not authorized by the legislature. Not Constitutional.
The van full of ballots at 4 am is a MINOR mistake???
I definitely DO NOT wish to what this liar calls a MAJOR MISTAKE.
How many minor mistakes are we talking about?
Exactly! What’s the last time one ever gets undercharges on credit card bills?
Dirty Michigan gonna dirty.
They were connected to the Internet.
As you said - come half-clean.
Half-clean is DIRTY.
They arent minor mistakes its fraud.
Voting programs that switch 6000 votes from one candidate to another, is not a mimor mistake. Not when it happened in other places in the state.
That is not a minor mistake. Its fraud.
A minor hole in a head due to a bullet through the brain is certainly not the same as the widespread trauma of a car accident.
See how silly that is?
I feel so much better now that a 36 year “election expert” tell us that there is no fraud but minor mistakes (puke)
Let’s see what a jury says.
When poll watchers are told to leave but ballots are still counted that’s election fraud. Those poll workers need to be charged with fraud and the ballots counted during that time should be nullified. That’s NOT a minor mistake....
Gee. If I were to hit this individual in the mouth so hard it would break their jaw, could I say that I was just trying to brush away a fly at the corner of their mouth? Think that might pass the smell test?
“Election officials across the state have labored under enormous mail ballot volume and performed extremely well,” he said. “Those who wish to turn this election into some type of disaster have missed the big picture.”
In the future, perhaps it will be a really good idea to NOT allow or permit Government Employees within a half mile of ANY place where ballots are counted, stored or handled in any manner.
I am 100% certain that we regular “non-essential” Americans can do a much better job.
