Judge cares about this guy rejoining society after killing four people. Good grief how did we get to a place where a bleeding-heart cares about an MS-13 gang member that killed four people more than he does for the safety of honest law abiding citizens of America.

What he really needs is a firm date with the hangman.

TFB, judge.

Who cares if he reforms or not.

Shoulda been executed. But 55 YEARS is ok...he will be 74...what a complete waste. My compassion meter hasn’t moved.

“had committed the massacre while undergoing counseling to avoid gang involvement”

If only we defunded the police and dedicated the money to counselling.

So tax payers will fork out $1,705,000.00 ($31k/yr) to drastically extent the life expectancy of this piece of filth when less than a dollars worth of electricity would resolve the problem.

[The 2nd Circuit said parole might motivate Portillo to obey prison rules, obtain education, participate in rehabilitative programs and mature to a point where he could rejoin society.]

Uh no. NEVER.

He can call for a minister to share the Gospel with him. He must NEVER, EVER rejoin society.

End of story.

Why’s he worried?

The next Democrat president will pardon him.

Out in time to go on social security.

Unfortunately, his last 8 quarters of income won’t look so good.

but it also expressed regret that the end of parole for federal prisoners means he won’t have incentive to reform.

If you need outside incentive to reform...in other words, if you are going to reform as a means to an end (parole), you won’t really be reformed. He is exactly where he needs to be, segregated from the many innocent targets who exist in a law abiding society, who don’t deserve to be targets at all.

It’s the State’s job to dispose of this shit, not warehouse it.
