NYC was not a nice place to visit during his tenure. In any event, RIP.
No, it was not. I don't remember the exact year of my first visit to NYC however I do remember Dinkins was mayor and how seedy Times Square was when I walked through it. "Adult" shops everywhere, hookers, drug users, etc..
Several years later when Mayor Guiliani took over I found myself in NYC again and took the same walk through Times Square. Much different experience. Much safer. No hookers, no more seedy "adult" shops everywhere, no drug users, etc..
I was also there before Guiliani's departure as mayor and before 9-11. Times Square was very family friendly, Disney store, major anchor stores, well lit, etc.. It was something to be proud of.
What a difference between a liberal/socialist/commie Mayor and a great American Mayor, Guiliani.
Liberals ruin everything they touch. Look at NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Atlanta, etc.. and the proof is there.
I've nothing nice to say about Dinkins, so I'll stop here.
