I worked at Michaels (yes, *that* Michaels) for 14 years as a part time job. Except during the holiday season it became a full time job. And I was already working a full time job.

I would close most nights; since the store closed at 10 instead of 9, that meant I often wasn’t leaving until 11. Then an hour drive home. Then back up at 4 a.m. to report to my regular job which was an hour commute to Nashville. Then straight to Michaels after leaving my regular job. Rinse, repeat.

I do not shop any retail on Thanksgiving weekend, just out of principle. LOL

Wow I know! It's home for a lil sleep then up and running again! Gets older than I realized when I noticed I've never spent Thanksgiving day with my two youngest grandkids that are now almost 4 and 7 years old. Missed out a lot doing this but at least this year I'll be with them and all for the first time in a long while!
