Um, there are “vegans” who’s definition of freegan is they will eat meat IF they don’t have to pay for it.
My SIL is one of these. Last year, a local large supermarket experienced a power outage around this time of year, and dumped hundreds of still hard-frozen turkeys in the dumpster. The word went out on the Freegan wire, and SIL and several buddies “rescued” several truckloads of these birds, and spread the wealth to friends and families. We took 6 of them, and have been feasting on turkey all year long!
