Then came the nuclear bomb of rap and it consumed everything in its wake. Everything turned nasty and violent, racist and misogynistic, celebrating drugs and murder and sexual exploitation, gangsterism and thuggery, ultimately nihilism. Live fast, die young, and knock up as many ho’s as you can to repeat the feat in the next generation of doomed souls.
To his credit, Don Cornelius kept that filth off his show, but sadly, the degrading culture of rap couldn’t be stopped and his show became an anachronism and went off the air.
