This Warden just added 50 thousand more votes for Trump!
* Imposing fines for businesses that do not enforce the mask requirements;
* Establishing lower mass gathering limits than 25 indoors and 50 outdoors permitted in most settings statewide;
* Curtailing the sale of alcohol earlier than the statewide curfew of 11 p.m.;
* Closing high-risk venues, such as bars and night spots; and
* Limiting restaurant service.
I just checked the data for NC. 95% of fatalities and 86% of hospitalizations are with people 50+ years old. But only 32% of cases are with 50+ year olds - two-thirds are with younger folks.
A good reporter (ha!) should ask:
Governor, your proposed restrictions do not address the needs of those at risk from COVID19. Two-thirds of cases are with people 50+ who do not burden our healthcare system and die less often than our elderly. Why are you restricting the freedoms of younger people and drawing focus away from our elderly like Gov Cuomo did, which made him a poster child for ineptitude AND the leader in elderly fatalities?
