George w. bush doesnt like Donald Trump. He doesnt like how Trump is behaving as president. He clearly doesnt like the division in the country Trump has fostered. He knows American democracy is under threat. He has tried to be reassuring, telling people that America has survived rough times beforea way of using insistent optimism to diplomatically acknowledge the rough time the nation is going through now.

Don’t be ashamed. I’m not. I mean, after all, who were our choices? In 2000 I was rooting for Alan Keyes in the primary and caught hell for it on FR from some Texas Bushbots. But after Keyes dropped out the choice was Bush or McCain. HA! Fat chance I would’ve ever supported McCain.
In the two general elections of 2000 and 2004, Bush ran against two incarnate versions of Satan himself, as far as I was concerned. We were backed into a corner and most of us did the right thing and voted for Bush. You make the best choice among the choices given to you. That’s all you can do.
Bush didn't appoint any justices his first term. We couldn't know that in 2000, of course, but if we could have, maybe some of us wouldn't have voted for him.
Bush will be known in history as “the Conqueror of Baghdad”? Nope, he’ll be known as the fool who on the basis of lies got us into that unjustified war that killed 6000 of our best young people, 100,000 Iraqis, destroyed much of their country, and that gave Iran entree into Baghdad.
Yep, and then I even voted for McCain and Romney.
Now that Trump is here, there’s no way I’m ever going back to the old GOP.
FU Shrub! What a weak-A$$ little Bit*h!
George is still unhappy that President Trump destroyed the Bush families’ beloved:
International corporatism leading to a one world government controlled by multinational corporations
A European Union-style North American Union with open borders, using “Ameros” instead of dollars.
Making the United States into a Military-Industrial-Intelligence-Secret Police Complex.
Using a socialist-style tax regime, which would make workers pay for their own health care and retirement, so corporations wouldn’t have to.
No, he will be remembered as the president who embroiled the nation in one of it longest quagmires.
Gore would have sailed to re-election in 2004. The economy was strong, he likely would have done something militarily in response to 9/11 whereby people would love him, even conservatives. Then, we’d have put McCain against him. Game, set, match.
There is not nor was a quagmire.
To say that is evidence of historical ignorance
Oh for crying out loud .... enough already about the Bushies. Evidently, since the enemedia won’t cover the coup against a a sitting President & are now studiously ignoring the Bidens’ treachery & corruption, they have to try to use W. to gin up an article on ... something. I don’t think, even as a former sitting President, Bush has much influence except with the “Never Trumpers” (i.e. RINOs infected with terminal TDS) and the NTs seem to be shrinking in number & have been pretty much marginalized over the last couple of years.
It shames me to admit this, especially McCain whom I didn't like even at the time. However, when I sent donations I always specified it was on behalf of Sarah Palin.
Romney and Ryan? Oh, the shame.
We remember how peaceful the left was when you were President.
What choice did we have?
So what he plans on doing about Trump?
Nothing since he has no ability to do anything about him.
The most important thing to Bush League Republicans is open borders/amnesty.
Turning the USA into North Mexico has been the largest bipartisan project of the last 30 years.
W can kiss my lily white a$$
Don’t elect George P. Bush to ANYTHING else.
Bush: deserves to be planted in the corner (full sun), trimmed, fertilized, and watered (be it by rain or other forms of moisture)
Me either! And if the old GOP comes back and begins fielding the main candidates, the rats (aka, Antifa and BLM, aka commies) will roll over them like a steamroller and it's gonna be time to fight or die, if your fighting days aren't over. I add that last caveat because when Trump finishes his second term, which I'm almost certain he's going to get, I'm going to be 76, yikes.
Take comfort in knowing the alternative (Gore/Kerry) was far, far worse...
