The pollsters themselves (those in the Hiden camp) are dishonest, but they are not stupid or suicidal. They KNOW what the actual numbers are and do not want to look like fools a second time so they will slowly close the gap over the next 2½ weeks. They are being paid to skew the polls, that is the nature of the business, but they want to still be in business next year.

Piking or no piking but this I can tell you.... Went by my polling area to see if i had to stand in line for hours...guess what folks? The record breaking lines weren’t there today! Went by in morning and afternoon both time the line was around less than 30ish people standing 6 ft apart which makes it look Bigger than what it is! Perhaps the Democrats have shot their wad yesterday already! Keeping my fingers crossed!! I’ll be voting next week or the following one when the lines diminish and it will happen! So don’t get too stressed out about polls and take people voting for Trump with you!!!!

if memory serves the polls had Carter way ahead of Reagan in the polls.

They did, and it was impossible to believe with all that was going wrong in the country (high unemployment, high inflation, double-digit interest rates, Iran holding hostages, one international humiliation after another, etc.)

Nobody who was not an incumbent. I think FDR pretty much mailed it in in 1944.

"Front porch" campaigns used to be the norm. It was considered bad form for a Presidential candidate to campaign on the stump.

Then William Jennings Bryan went on the road and later Teddy Roosevelt did the same. Ever since, campaigning on the stump has been the norm.

I just wonder if the Dems are not rally goers with COVID but Trump people are. Will Dems show up in mass at polls with their votes, with absentee voting vs. at rallies.

Also, Biden keeping quiet about where he is going, invite only, like in Toledo with Union Local 14. Is it because they know Dems are too afraid to go to rallies or that people are not overly enthused by Biden/Harris.

Dems that I have talked to have all said they don’t do rallies.

I know people came out of Obama. But he was first black PResident. But there is COVID now. Is that the main drive keeping dems from going to rallies?

My contention was that Biden just doesn’t inspire any grassroots support.

People aren’t going to his rallies because he is the opposite of charismatic or inspirational.

That part is no mystery at all.

Trump hate wont drive democrats to Biden rallies, but the question is, how much will Trump hate drive democrats to vote?

Have you noticed that no other democrat politician wants to be seen with Biden. Even camel toe stays at least 12 feet away at all times. And is rarely at a combined event.

I think the polls showing Biden with a 14 point lead are taking into account the Biden hidden vote, you know, the ones in the cemetery hiding under the dirt :::::::: 😊😊😊😊😊

Re Real Clear , just watch the editor when he’s on. He never defends the individual poll methodology. He just grins as he has become a reported source as a consolidator. Like used car aggregator. I have one really good deal that disappears fast and the rest are clunkers
