I am in the area being affected by Hurricane Delta.
The Police/Sheriff/Fire/State Police are very active now to prevent the loss of life.
My local ABC TV station is not broadcasting the NBA finals game tonight. They are broadcasting updates on Hurricane Delta. One of the stations this ABC TV station has is broadcasting the game - the CW station.
BLUE LIVES keeps the public safe.

Too many people have turned the NBA for them to keep losing BILLIONS of dollars because of the BLM foolishness.

Lake Charles getting hit again 6 weeks after Hurricane Laura. People had just started rebuilding, tarps up, piles of debris waiting to be picked up...getting ripped again. Very sad to see.

15 miles east of Monroe? That would be around Rayville area then. You’d know where Bastrop is, I lived there through 90% of obama. Did a couple of remodeling jobs around the Rayville area. Judging by the radar thing above, you’ll be getting a little rain but shouldn’t be too bad. Rayville is where I’d always stop for coffee coming back from the boats in Vicksburg.
I still have family around there, born in Bastrop, great grandparents born there. Mostly scattered now, but some of them still right there. Had relatives laid off when the paper mill closed. (thanks nafta...)
We got a long drizzle yesterday, clearing up with a light wind now, 10-15 mph or so, east texas.
LOL Between Oak Ridge and Girard just south of Lake Irwin! Much family in the Rayville area (Mom is an alumni of RHS). Raised south of Dunn, graduated Delhi HS. Moved home when I retired. 7+ inches of rain, road flooding, but not too much wind, thank goodness. Still cleaning up from Laura which came over me as a cat-1. This was chump change. Still praying for friends and family in SW LA and waiting to hear from them. Hope all is good with you
BTW, A whole lot of folks from the paper mill in Bastrop got jobs at the sweet potato processing plant built at Dunn. Think Alexa Sweet Potato Fries!
Very familiar with Oak Ridge, (Oak Grove too) used to go walk around the back roads there and take pictures, mostly birds, flowers and insects. (30 years a photographer) Been to Delhi long ago, but not much. Couldn’t tell you where it is now if I had to. No idea about Dunn or Girard, think I might have driven through Girard once.
Did a few remodeling jobs there, all over the place. Mostly around Bastrop, but also as far as Farmerville, the Police Chiefs office in Mer Rouge, a couple northeast of Rayville...Last job we did was out of Rayville, deck the entire length of a 60 foot trailer. Out in the boonies north of town.
I was born in Bastrop, been in and out of town most of my life. Had relatives working at the paper mill when it was shut down, I worked on computers at the time, and many customers also told me their friends and familiy members had gone out of state trying to find jobs. Quite a few ended up bac in Bastrop living with relatives, on welfare and food stamps, no jobs till Obama left office. I knew a couple of those, pretty depressed people.
Never knew the potato place existed. I knew some sweet potato farms were around town, my father used to get culls for deer feed. Put a pile of sweet potatoes out early, let it sour, and then the deer can’t resist it. But until they sour, they hardly touch the pile at all. Maybe they get drunk on it...I’m pretty sure there’s a bit of low level fermentation going on.
