I think one of the results of Trump’s experience will be a focus on treatment, which is where it should have been in the first place.
There’s no way you can lock down or eradicate a virus. It simply spreads, no matter what you do. Locking people down does nothing except make the exposure more concentrated, so it was more severe among locked down or isolated groups (families locked into the projects in NY, for example) than among people who were allowed to breathe freely, get outside, etc. This could have been a great opportunity to do practical things that would have had long term benefit, such as improving ventilation systems in sealed buildings (office towers, etc.), reducing overcrowding in environments such as the projects (or even the subway) and improving their sanitation and ventilation, etc. But none of that was done.
And then of course, there’s treatment, where every treatment suggested was shot down by Fauci and the gang. I read a comment that it’s the only disease for which a treatment was not sought. That’s because the panic of having a supposedly “untreatable” disease on the loose was so useful to the left.

Conversly, I heard today that re-inhaled CO2 puts the body into acidosis. In this state, the acidic environment assists zinc in entering the human cell and if COVID is present, this facilitates the virus entering the cell for replication. Not a doctor/scientist and this was 2nd hand, so I have no source. Flames expected.
And, livius, you are 100% correct. Trump just stated the exact same thing: don’t fear the virus because there are effective treatments.
