With the happenings in our country these days I fear it'll only get worse for the next several months at least. I'm interested in obtaining insurance as a gun owner with concealed carry permit. God forbid I have to discharge my firearm on anything other than a varmint or target, I want to have coverage so I don't lose everything I've worked so hard for in my life.
Thank you for your posts and I will check them when I get back in town from my hunting property later tonight.

I investigated several and ended up with CCW Safe. Don West is part of it (GZ’s atty). I paid $179 for myself and then added hubby for another $100.

Passing on what my instructor said is the best insurance for CCW licensees:
1. Only take a life to save a life.
2. Avoid going to places with a gun, you wouldn't go without one.

Concur. LawShield is not insurance, its a legal protection program. As they tell it, when you call their emergency number, you get an attorney answering. That means immediate attorney client privilege. Unlike any other program where you get a call center first. You have no attorney client privilege on 911 or with a call center. I have used LawShield for several years now.

U.S. Law Shield is the best I've ever heard of.
A lawyer answers the phone when you dial their emergency number.

Check out - US Concealed Carry Association (uscca.com). My regular insurance agent said it is by far the best protection I could ever get. Not very expensive per year. They have lawyers that will come to your aid if,God forbid, you ever had to shoot someone. Your membership comes with a regular magazine that has lots of interesting info.

I use US LAW SHIELD. uslawshield.comApparently Alaska and Maine have seceded from the Union, because you cannot select either state when it asks where you live.

USCCA as well. PPl should not skimp on coverage for a potentially life-changing experience derived from firing your weapon in public—defensively, or otherwise.

Since I do not plan on ever pulling my weapon unless (1) my life is in danger and (2) I have tried to extricate myself from said situation, I do not see the point of insurance in a castle doctrine state.

Ping for later. Also mulling the same question. Worth noting which options have a riot/insurrection exclusion.

We use USCCA, which is favorably looked at by local authorities. USCCA has an extensive library of excellent videos to help you stay safe and NOT use your firearms unless required.

Since you mentioned USCCA I’d note that they cover incidents using all legal self defense using any weapon, not restricted to firearms. Not sure about other companies. As you mention the training videos are excellent.
