The democRATS would say that Venezuela would be a better model.
That NYC real estate guy is a much better politician than all of the career politicians in Washington DC.
I don’t know who Andrea Widberg is, but maybe if she is just now hearing about the ice rink Trump saved, she shouldn’t be commenting about his Woodward interview.
I don’t know about anybody else, but I am so tired of folks feeling like they have to make a negative comment in order to compliment POTUS. I am so grateful for everything he gave up in order to try and save this country. I am so done with the negative nancy’s out there. How does she know the interview was a mistake? The outcome of many actions are not always immediately obvious. sheesh.
That poem is SO Trump...
Dear Mr President,
You can’t get rid of the deficit.
I’ll wait.................
I think thats what I love so much about President Trump, he just out thinks everyone. He sees problems as opportunities. If you fall on your face, get up, brush yourself off and try another way.
That pretty much describes why Trump is president right now. A friend told him he couldn’t do it.
According to Don Jr in an interview I saw a a while back, his father was talking to a friend and told him he was thinking about running. The friend said something like ‘Oh you’d never make it as a politician’...wrong thing to tell Donald Trump.
The rest is history. Before you could say ‘Obama sucks’, he was actively getting the paperwork started. Because somebody told him he couldn’t do it...
I found the Wolman Rink story long ago, and he talked about it in an interview too. He knew nothing about building a skating rink (his own admission) but he just _knew_ he could do it. So he got tired of watching the city waste money and finally told Koch he’d get it done. By Christmas, and no more than either 2 or 3 million. I think he said $2 mil but not positive.
The city didn’t want him to do it at first, they thought he would put his name on it and of course make a bundle. He puts his name on things because he’s proud of what he builds. He agreed to not only NOT put his name on it, but not profit from it.
When he looked it over, he knew the concrete had to go, he said it was rough, uneven, cracked and out of level so he ripped it out and started over. He had traffic in Manhattan locked up all day with a line of cement trucks all the way across town. Instead of the usual 4 inch slab, he poured it a foot thick, and found out the copper pipes that were set up previously for freon had hundreds of leaks. So he “called up a friend” (again, his words). The guy doing the refrigeration was from Florida. HUH? Florida? WHat does he know about ice? (almost but not quite a direct quote) He called and explained the skating rink project to his friend, who recommended someone from Canada who was using a new brine method instead of freon. “Canada - Now he knows ice”... (Trump’s words again)
He called that person, got him on the job, and they set up PVC and ran the brine setup. Once it was flooded with water he had ice in 2 hours, they called in an olympic skater who took a couple of laps and said it was “like velvet” and the rink was ready for business. (but concession stands still had to be put in.) 4 months ahead of schedule and $75,000 under budget. (or was it $750,000? I can’t remember but I think 75) He didn’t put his name on it, and has never profited from it. And this is a guy who, by his own admission, knew nothing about building a skating rink.
He didn’t know anything about running a country either and look what he’’s done...No that is NOT a put down...
This story is true, but Leftists just ignore it, and counter with Trump going bankrupt, or making that old lady in Atlantic City give up her house, or how his money came from his racist landlord father, and other so-called narratives.
It’s still a good story, and I like it.
But when people can’t objectively view a man’s entire legacy of work due to bias, nothing is ever good enough.
Another ‘impossible’ task, according to Obama and democrats, is the bringing back manufacturing jobs and plants. Trump got it done, and doing more of it.
Middle-East peace? Hard to do, but Trump is doing it.
Growing the economy, where Obama and democrats expected slow to no recovery or growth. Best economy ever!
Virus disrupting the economy and the country in general? Trump is doing battle and bringing the country back from what would have been a total disaster under Obama or Biden or democrats.
Inevitable riots and looting and murders in the streets? Trump is doing something about it, whereas democrats would have allowed the rioters and looters and BLM and Antifa to run and ruin neighborhoods and businesses. Law and order? Not possible under democrats, but Trump is getting it done.
Impeachments, all of them? Trump fought and won all of those battles. Democrats can stand the man and will do everything they can to get Trump out of office, even if they have to steal the election. But, if Trump’s history is any indication, that’s a fight which he’s on track to win too.
The tragedy of this is that, in spite of everything, New York ultimately rejected Trump and everyone like him. He was able to fix a lot of things, but even he could not fix stupid.
