Taryn Manning [to star in new film] ‘Karen’ [Plot: Karen White tries to remove new black neighbors (and BLM members) from the neighborhood, who then fight back]
Deadline ^ | August 26, 2020 | Dino-Ray Ramos

As of late, the name Karen has been synonymous with entitlement, bigotry and “I want to speak to a manager” energy. What better way to explore this phenomenon than with a suspense thriller appropriately titled Karen starring Taryn Manning as the titular touchstone of privilege?

The Orange Is The New Black alum is set to play Karen White (a suitable name) who believes that races should stick to their “own kind”. She carries this belief into her neighborhood. So when her new Black neighbors Assata and Malik move in, she makes it her personal mission to remove them from the neighborhood, by any means necessary. However, Assata and Malik don’t have time for this. As cardholding Black Lives Matter members they aren’t going down without a fight.

Karen is written and directed by Coke Daniels. The film will be produced by Daniels, Manning and Craig Chapman. Vanzil Burke and Victor Burke, founders of the Burke Management Firm, will serve as executive producers. Adrian Miller and Krishna LeFan will serve as co-executive producers. Flixville USA and Burke Management will serve as the production companies. The film is slated to start production in the fall. Manning is repped by Sheila Legette Entertainment.

Found this today on a film production website. Thought it was satire at first.

The "I want to speak to a manager" mentality is almost always associated with liberal women doing what they do best - poking their noses into what other people are doing and complaining about it.

I assume this film does not have a happy ending.

Manning’s overly weird.

Just happened to notice her name in a rerun of NYPD Blue last week, only because she abruptly quit “Worst Celebrity Cooks in America” a season or three ago.

This movie will make just enough money to purchase a one-room flat in Compton.

DANG!

Leftists trying to steal the Karen meme for their own purposes. Karen's are normally hypocrite Leftist women, but it sounds like the makers of this movie are trying to paint a Karen as right-leaning or conservative.

Obama set back race relations 50 years. Liberals are now trying to set it back 170 years with whites as slaves

Sounds like it meets all the new criteria for a Best Picture Oscar.

“are trying to paint a Karen as right-leaning or conservative.”

We need Trump’s help. He changed what they wanted “Fake News” to be.

many blacks i’ve met are for segregation

and that was back in the 90s

guys going to historically black colleges, surprise surprise

all i know its not white people buying up land for white families to “be safe” in, in 2020

if blacks can do this, i dont see why whites cant, or asians cant, or hispanics can’t, or any racial/ethnic group cant

“We need to defund hollywood.”

Throw away your TV, cut off your cable and internet and stop buying products that are advertised.

It’s that simple.

"Is this movie set in 1962?"

That was my thought, or perhaps even 1952. The scenario is so unlikely in today's America - or the America of the last 40 years - as to be laughable.

If something like this actually happened, it would be extremely rare and highlighted on every newscast. But the movie will probably present it as the everyday reality in Trump's Amerikkka.

It’s forever 1962 to the Left where the Klan is two million strong, still doing midnight rides, burning crosses, and lynching black people from trees.
